Air Conditioning Energy Assessment and Inspections ...

Are you breaking the law?

If your building has an air conditioning system with a total cooling output of 12kw or more, did you know as from January 2011 it is now a legal requirement that an Air Conditioning Inspection or Air Conditioning Energy Assessment is carried out.

After an initial inspection of the system is completed, a further reassessment should carried out be every 5 years.

If your system was installed on or after 1st January 2008 a first inspection must take place within 5 years of installation.

All buildings will need to have Air Conditioning Energy Assessment Certification completed by an accredited assessor.

Benefits to you from the inspection:

  • Improve air quality
  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Cut your energy use
  • Money saving

Noncompliance could result in investigation by Trading Standards and a fine of £300 for each A/c unit without a Report / Certificate.

Call us today for any further information or to arrange a site survey to see if your building is compliant with the new legislation.
